At Heart + Hand Social Services, we are dedicated to supporting low-income individuals and families in Kanawha and Putnam counties, including South Charleston, St. Albans, Tornado, Dunbar, Institute, Alum Creek, and Davis Creek. We offer a wide range of essential services to meet the needs of our community, such as a food pantry, utility assistance, diapers and hygiene products, cleaning supplies, and vouchers for clothing and household items. We also provide beds for foster children, free medical supplies, USDA senior food boxes, and furniture vouchers. Our Christmas Program brings joy to those in need, and our weekend food bags help ensure that South Charleston Middle School students have enough to eat over the weekend. Through our thrift store, we offer clients the chance to use vouchers to select clothing and household goods. We also run the Causeworthy Clothing program, promoting the sharing of items to support those in need. Our mission is to alleviate hardship and help community members gain self-sufficiency, and we are proud to serve as a vital resource for those who need it most.
